I wonder if recent developments in football’s/the world economic situation have changed things since then?

I was of the impression that gate receipts were still far and away the biggest source of revenue for football clubs, especially the likes of Wigan, Portsmouth and Bolton etc. Just goes to show how valuable the Sky money is.
