It’s remarkable that, without Rodallega, we’ve played the whole of this season without a recognised goalscorer. Other managers would see this as a problem, Martinez sees it as, erm, a blessing in disguise, I guess. I won’t deny it’s a real problem – we’d be mid-table if Rodders were actually playing anything like his usual. Another 5 goals from him and I’d hazard a guess we’d at least have a fair few more points.

Things have definitely turned round since the 8 straight defeats, and if you take those out of the equation we haven’t had a bad season up to now. Just average, nothing special. I hope it isn’t a case of too little, too late :/

The Linesman messed up twice, the goal was clearly offside, in fact it looked like 3 Chelsea players were offside, and it was a nailed on handball penalty.

Wigan played with a lot of spirit and that will give you a great chance in staying up, just knew that Di Santo wouldn’t be able to take his chance when it came to him, the boy is not a natural goal scorer as we found out. But I’d swap him for the likes of Malouda anyday, at least Di Santo has heart.

Got a lot of time for Wigan, hope you stay up.

Hey ChelseaR! Thanks for weighing in with your comments. Obviously this post is going to be shamelessly biased towards Wigan, but I do think the linesman was the difference between the two sides today. It’s highly unfortunate I have to say such things because I’d love for our football to do the talking, and Latics put in a great effort away from home. I won’t say we deserved a draw because you deserved a win more, but we were slightly unfortunate this afternoon. Good luck against Barca, I’m sure you’ll get far more against someone who isn’t Al Habsi

Good luck to your campaign to stay up – you outplayed us today in the middle of the park and clearly Ivanovich Goal was offside. Whilst we also should have had a penalty for handball I still feel you were unlucky and you’ll get points with that level of pushing and pressing if you can get the ball in the net

If we can get something at Anfield in our next match, then I think we’ve still got a chance. Can’t believe QPR managed to beat Liverpool yesterday, but it shows they’re vulnerable at the back so it’s not a bad time to play them. QPR still have the most difficult run-in and I think Wolves are all but down (based on their form). It’s between us and Bolton, but I think Wigan will just about survive again.
