Now we’ve crashed through the big one-oh-oh, it’s time to finally come clean about the PWU Podcast. It’s all thrown together at the last minute and recorded in a poorly-lit corner of the local library on a moderately expensive battery-powered Dictaphone. It is testament to resident editor Mr Barold Worthyman that it actually sounds as if it’s been studio produced, so a hearty round of applause goes out to… the Audacity audio editing software. Open source saves us once again!
I will save the big awards ceremony for my own personal 100th episode, which is due to arrive some time in the next 2.5 years. But I must take this opportunity to thank every one of our regular panellists and special guests, Shortsman, Nouha ‘Athlete in Boots’ Dicko, Kevin ‘Postie’ Friend and of course Grant Holt for their numerous appearances in Swinley town centre over the past 2-and-a-bit years.
Scroll down for info on our century ‘celebrations’ while you listen to another Hour of PWU Power via the old media player doodah below. Or, just in case it doesn’t load on your selected mobile device due to some weird Goodtimes-like virus, there’s the usual YouTube version with slightly pointless HD thumbnail.

This might be the 100th episode according to the never-reliable Mr JWAW, but PWU101 is going to be The Really Big One. Yes, I unnecessarily capitalised that to over-emphasise the hugeness, because it’s our very first fans forum! It mightn’t be as illustrious as the Wigan Athletic forums, but we will be inviting some special guests to the Beech Hill Book Cycle for a very special Q&A panel.
I will post more information about this in the coming days, so check back here or the PWU Twitter, iTunes, RSS and app pages for announcements as they are made. Or maybe that should be *if* they are made, considering how bad I am at reporting news and current affairs. Heck, BBC Micro is as current as I ever got before I bought a flat in 1994… earlier this year.
Look, just forget the fact my sentences make no sense and clear your schedule for next week – JWAW hopefully has some international break stuff lined up for once.
